License Agreement

This License Agreement explains how you may use images you download from Pixstock. By downloading an image, whether free or paid, you agree to these terms. In short: you can use our images in almost any personal or commercial project, but you can’t resell or redistribute the image files themselves.

1. Definitions

  • “Pixstock”, “we” and “us” means the operator of this website.
  • “You” means the person or organization that downloads an image. If you download on behalf of a company or a client, “you” includes them.
  • “Image” means any image file downloaded from Pixstock, in any size (Small, Medium or Large).
  • “Project” means any work you create that includes an image, such as a website, advertisement, social media post, presentation, video, printed item or product design.

2. What you get

When you download an image, we grant you a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual license to use it in your Projects, as described in this agreement. The same license applies to every size, including the free Small size.

  • Non-exclusive: other customers can license and use the same image.
  • Perpetual: your license doesn’t expire, as long as you follow these terms.
  • Royalty-free: after downloading, you don’t owe any further fees, however many times you use the image in your Projects.

3. What you can do

  • Use images on websites, blogs, apps and social media.
  • Use images in advertising and marketing, both online and offline.
  • Use images in printed materials such as brochures, flyers, posters, packaging, books and magazines, with no limit on print runs.
  • Use images in presentations, videos, films and broadcasts.
  • Crop, resize, edit, color-correct and combine images with other content.
  • Use images in products you sell, such as t-shirts, mugs, cards or calendars, as long as the product includes your own design or other added content and the image isn’t the main thing being sold (see section 4).
  • Use images in work you create for a client, and deliver that finished work to them.

4. What you can’t do

  • Resell or redistribute the image files. You can’t sell, give away, share or sublicense images as standalone files, or make them available for others to download, for example on another stock site, a wallpaper site or a shared drive.
  • Sell the image as the product. You can’t sell prints, posters, canvases or similar items where the unmodified image itself is the main thing being sold.
  • Use images in templates where they can be extracted. You can’t include images in website themes, design templates or other products that let others extract or reuse the image file.
  • Use images in logos or trademarks, or claim ownership of an image, for example by registering it as your own.
  • Present images as real events or real people. You can’t use an image to deceive, for example as a real news photo, as evidence, or as a genuine photo of a real person, place or product.
  • Use images in unlawful, defamatory, hateful or pornographic content, or in any way that violates someone else’s rights.
  • Train AI. You can’t use images to train, fine-tune or test machine learning or AI models, or to build image datasets.
  • Download in bulk with automated tools, such as scrapers or bots.

5. About AI-generated images

Every image on Pixstock is created with artificial intelligence. Please keep the following in mind:

  • The people in our images aren’t real. They’re generated by AI, so there are no model releases. Any resemblance to a real person is coincidental. If you use an image of a person in connection with a sensitive subject, such as health, sexuality, religion, politics, crime or financial hardship, include a note that the image is for illustration only and features a model, so no one is identified.
  • Places, products and logos may resemble real ones. Don’t use an image in a way that suggests a real person, brand or organization endorses you or your Project.
  • Images can contain errors, such as incorrect details or garbled text. Check an image is suitable before you use it. If you find a problem, please use the “Report image” link on the image’s page.
  • Copyright. Images created by AI generally can’t be protected by copyright, and we don’t claim they are. This agreement is a contract between you and Pixstock that sets the terms for downloading and using our images.

6. Credit

Credit isn’t required. If you’d like to credit us, “Image: Pixstock” is always appreciated.

7. Ending this license

If you break this agreement, your license ends automatically, and you must stop using the affected images and delete any copies you have. Projects you legally published before the license ended don’t need to be withdrawn, unless the breach was about that Project.

8. No warranty

Images are provided “as is”. We don’t guarantee that images are free of errors or suitable for any particular purpose, or that using them won’t infringe anyone else’s rights, although we don’t intentionally include recognizable real people, brands or protected designs.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to an image is limited to the amount you paid for that image. We aren’t liable for any indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or business interruption.

10. Changes to this agreement

We may update this agreement from time to time. The version in effect when you downloaded an image applies to that image.

11. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
